Choices

Yes or No, Stop or Go, Take it or Leave it, Hold on or Let go- Choices we often make. You just have to pick one but why is it so hard sometimes to be torn between two options.

The moment the light breaks at dawn, we already have to choose whether to wake up or not. We struggle between leaving the comforting sensation of our bed and rise up for another day to toil or continue with our deep slumber. We choose what dress to wear, food to it, transportation to take, road to pass, way to turn and in dealing with every situation we face for the day. We are filled with choices.

Everything that happens in our life is a result of the choices we make. Sure enough we could ask for some pieces of advice from other people, but the final decision lies in our hands. Blaming and accusing other people for a negative outcome is not an option we must take for every regrets after every decision made. You hold your will and so is the outcome of every decision. We are where we are because of these choices. You were given the freewill from the moment you were born but this freewill does not merely mean doing what we want. It is our freedom to do what is right and beneficial for our existence in order to become a better person- one that pleases God.

We laugh, we cry, we smile, we frown, we shout, we keep silent, we think, we reflect, we act- we are what we want to be. We have that freedom in us to choose what we want to do in every circumstance. It is a part of our existence. A choice can only be wrong if: you cannot stand for it, it harms or hurts other people, and when it displeases God who is watching over you.

Before you act, think. Before you decide, reflect. Do not say your judgment when you are angry and do not utter a promise when you are too happy. For often times, these are the moments when decisions are often amiss.
